Glorious Goodwood or the Qatar Goodwood Festival is a five-day event combining racing, fashion and live music to create a thrilling event in the Sussex countryside. There is over £1,500,000 to be won in racing cash prizes as well as the ‘Best Dressed’ lady being a real achievement for visitors at the event.
Every day at Glorious Goodwood is filled with fantastic entertainment and not just in the form of horse racing. Lasting from Tuesday 31
st July – Saturday 4 th August, there are several highlights you will not want to miss. August Bank Holiday
Goodwood limits its racing with the
August Bank Holiday weekend event. From Friday to Sunday, Goodwood will be filled with entertainment, offering the ultimate family day out and the perfect end to your Summer holidays. In addition to this, all entertainment is free as well as admission for under 17s.
Bank Holiday weekend starts with a dazzling fireworks display at approximately 8:45pm, along with fire performers, stilt walkers and live music. Throughout the event, you have access to the traditional fairground and can enjoy six races on Friday’s opening night. Saturday continues the fun of the fairground as well as celebrating the prestigious Group 2 Celebration Mile race and seven more races during the day.
The final day of August Bank Holiday is perfect for all families. Not only is there seven more races to enjoy, but there is a huge selection of entertainment and music acts. This includes:
Circus Tutors Donkey Rides Face Painters Invisible Cricket Jazz Band Petting Farm Punch & Judy Rock 'n' Roll Band String Quartet on Double Trigger Lawn
This will all be available along with our fairground which includes a helter-skelter, big wheel, carousel and many other fantastic features for no additional cost.
Goodwood Revival is an action-packed three-day event, with huge races in vintage vehicles as Goodwood looks to take ‘a step back in time’ as the theme of this event. with all the final races taking place on the Sunday of the event, this is not something you want to miss. Despite the old style races taking place, this isn’t just an event on the motor circuit.
Once again, there will be a cinema, Butlin’s Roller Disco, Fairground and Bonhams Auction. As well as joining in dance workshops and the Richmond Lawn dancing, fashion, driving and fun is guaranteed throughout the event. View the
